Obituary of Marie V. G. Maxwell

MAXWELL, Marie V. G. (nee Creaney) On February 14, 2010, Marie passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years. She was born on May 16, 1919 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Pre- deceased by her sisters, Girlie, Mabel, Mattie, Lillie, her brother, George and her husband, David in 1993. Marie is survived by her sister May and son David. Diminutive in stature, but a giant of personality, Marie was employed many years for Loblaws and formed life long friendships with the people she worked with. Marie shall be remembered fondly by her friends, neighbours and family both here and abroad. A very special thank you is extended to the personal support workers of Bayshore Health and St. Josephs Villa. A visitation shall take place at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2010. A service will follow at 6:00 p.m., with Rev. Steve Lindsay officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Haiti Relief Fund c/o Cheyne Presbyterian Church, 7 King Street West, Stoney Creek, ON, L8G 1G7.
