Dear Margaret,
I was so saddened to read about Dave's passing today. Although it has been years since I last talked to you both, I will always remember and cherish how welcoming you both were of me. As a fellow educator, I believe that Dave's greatest legacy, outside of his own family, will be the difference he made in the lives of all he worked with as an E.A. He loved his job and it showed. He truly was a very Special Educator. My sincerest condolences go out to all of you.

Marg and family; We are very sorry for your loss of such a great person. We had been friends since Highschool and carry so many good memories that will always be dear to me. The anticks we use to pull are still fresh in my mind of us racing cars out at the cottage, playing Bolivia and trying to cheat as much as we could, staying up half the night watching hockey with your dad and going out playing hockey with your friends from Firestone. Our loss will be felt by so many people friends and family alike but it is the memories that will always keep him near in our thoughts.

Marg: We were so very very sorry to hear about Dave's
passing. We were talking about the many weekends away at your cottage. They were so much fun. How time passes when your families start growing and you get busy doing just everyday things. Gary also remembered when he first started at Firestone, it was Dave who taught him the ropes. We wished so much that we all kept in touch over these years. We will be there Thursday evening to see you and meet your family.
Our love to you and your family.

Please except my condolences and prayers during this difficult time. May many fond memories bring your family peace. I had the privilege of working with Dave at Glenwood where, without a doubt, he always put children first. He was a generous man, willing to help in anyway he could. He was a man who believed that anything was possible and strove each day to make this a reality for many students with varying exceptionalities. He was a proud man; speaking highly of becoming a Grandpa and how proud he was his children and family. He loved to joke and had a true zest for life. Dave never missed an opportunity to wish me “Good Morning”. I am grateful for the time I was able to work with Dave; to learn from Dave. With heartfelt sympathy...

I met Dave at Glenwood School and have had the privilege to work with him in various school settings over the past six years. Dave always impressed as a solid, upstanding gentleman who was the first to 'step up to the plate' when help was needed. His friendly nature and wry wit made him special and I am glad to have shared a piece of his life journey. I shall miss him dearly. To his family, please accept my deepest condolences.

Margaret and Family
Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
Dave was so proud of his family and glowed when he shared stories about your accomplishments.
I have many fond memories of working with Dave at Glenwood. I will never forget the late night laughs on the roof top at Tim Horton camp. Dave was amazing at what he did.The impact of his efforts on so many young people through school, Special Olympics and Challenger Baseball will be felt for many years to come.
You could always look to Dave during times of chaos and you would receive one of his mischievous grins telling you that it would be OK and that he loved be in the middle of it! I can`t imagine entering Glenwood without his friendly welcome.
Please know you are in my thoughts. Unfortunately I`m unable to come on Thursday because I`m in Kingston.
Take care
