Obituary of Emedio Marini

MARINI, Emedio (Mel) Sadly after a short battle with cancer, Mel passed peacefully on July 4, 2012 in his 84th year. Survived by his wife Jean (nee Worlin). Father of Guy and wife Leslie, Pam and husband John, Angela and partner Hermann, and Lori and husband Darrin. "Papa" to Jamie, Cole, Drew and Alex. Brother to Anne (Mel), Eva (Angelo), Lillian (Bob-deceased) and Lorraine (Dino) and uncle to many nieces and nephews. At Mel’s request, he will be cremated. Mel served 5 years in the Royal Canadian Navy, and was a retired employee of US Steel (Stelco) with 39 years of service. A private family celebration of Mel’s life will be held a later date. Special thanks to neighbours Kay and Debbie, Ron and Bee, Chuck and Donna, and Nina for their love and support. Sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff at Juravinski Hospital, in particular Dr. Allaby and the nurses and personal support workers on Ward M. for their care, and compassion.
