It shocked me to hear about Rita's passing, although i had not worked with her for about 2 1/2 years ever time i saw her it was like i never left. It was a privilege to have known her and i send my deepest sympathys to her family who i know she adored. She was always so kind hearted, a great down to earth, caring lady who i'm sure will be greatly missed and never forgotton. From: Joanna seapy

just a note to let you know how very sorry we are to read of your sister's passing.
i don't know if you remember us but we lived at 272 ivon when you were all
youngsters as our family were. unfortunately were not able to attend the service or the mass, but our thoughts were with you.
we lost one of our boys (gary) when he was just a young man so we can
certainly relate to your sorrow.

I had the pleasure of working with Rita @ Active and always knew it was gonna be a good shift when Rita was in :) she always had a smile on her face and had a great sense of humor. I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the Marchionda family for the loss of their beautiful daughter/sister. It's been a long time since I have had the privilege of being with/talking with Rita. We used to walk to school (St. Eugene's) when we were kids. I always appreciated her friendship and enjoyed her company and our conversations. I'm sure that she was loved and respected by all those who she came in contact with. May she rest in peace.

I want to send my condolences to Rita's family, my heart goes out to you and I know that we have all lost a pretty amazing woman. Not only was she kind and considerate but she was very funny and I am going to miss working with her very much. Although I only met her sister Lou I felt like I knew all of them through Rita, she often talked of her family and how close they all were. I know Rita is in a better place looking down and keeping watch.

I am saddened to hear of Rita's sudden passing. Know that the Marchionda family is in our thoughts and prayers at this time of sorrow. I have known Rita since 1984 through work with Big V. Since my relocation to Barrie after Atkison's closed, I have lost touch with my Hamilton co-workers, but have not forgotten them so it is with sorrow that I receive this update about Rita.
