Obituary of Philip Francis Mancini
MANCINI, Philip Francis
It is with overwhelming grief, we announce the passing of Phil in his 60th year, on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Juravinski Hospital. He was the loving, devoted husband and best friend to his wife, Sue (Arrowsmith). His greatest joy in life was watching his sons, Dan (Lori) and Eric (Jenny), raise their families with the values he passed on to them. No words can describe his love and pride for his beautiful grandchildren, Blake, Jared, Arden and Claire. They will miss their Grandpa very much and will treasure the fun times and special memories they made together. The love and respect Phil had for his mother, Edith, will remain with her forever. They shared a very special bond as mother and son. He was always there for her (especially their times going to the casino!) She will miss her Philip tremendously. Phil was loved and adored by his sister, Francine (Chris). She admired and looked up to her big brother and will miss how he could always make her laugh. Their children Caleb, Noah and Kiah were extremely blessed to have such an amazing Uncle. There will always be a special place in their hearts for Uncle Phil. He also leaves fond memories with his nephew Mark, niece Melane and their families in B. C. Phil will be dearly missed by his mother-in-law, Norma, who cherished him deeply for the love and happiness he gave to her daughter. He will remain in the hearts of his many wonderful cousins and his Aunts Florence Churcich, Rita Tessaro and Uncle Mario Mancini. Phil worked very hard all his life to provide for his family and this was evident in the numerous friends he made and business ventures he enjoyed over the years. They are very shocked and saddened by his passing and will miss him. To help Phil's immediate family through this most difficult time, will be the amazing circle of extended family, friends and neighbours, that he was so blessed to have. Phil was predeceased by his father, Frank, his father-in-law, Albert and his sister-in-law, Lynn. Very special thanks to Dr. R. Yang, Dr. R. Foley and the Doctors and Nurses of ward C4 at the Juravinski Hospital for their endless compassion and dignity they gave while caring for Phil. Honouring and respecting Phil's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Amyloidosis Support Network Inc., 41 Bauer Cres., Markham Ont. L3R 4H3 or online at www.thecasn.org, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
