MacDOUGALL, J. Alexander (Alex)
It is with deep sadness that the family of Alex MacDougall announce his death on Monday, May 24, 2010, in his 79th year. He is survived by his wife Pauline (Beamer), his children Janet Zantingh (Henry), Barb Krajcik (Gary), Paula Stolys (David) and Jeff MacDougall (Shirlee). Predeceased by son Bradley (1962). Also left to mourn his passing is much loved grandchildren Andrea and Ryan Veldhuizen, Joseph and Diane, Deanna, Matthew and Steven (Zantingh), Bradley, Kevin, Cameron Krajcik, Danielle, Michael Stolys, Rachael and Chris Mather and Jenna and Alex MacDougall and great-granddaughter Addison Mather. He will be sadly missed by his sister Muriel Smith (John) and sisters-in-law Norma MacDougall, Margaret Vaughan, Jean Robins and Ruby Silverthorne. Predeceased by brothers Stewart and Jim (Pat). Alex was the youngest son of Lyle and Alma (Felker) MacDougall and was a member of Fulton Stone United Church and of Lincoln Masonic Lodge #544, Abingdon for over 50 years. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Private Family Interment will be held on Friday, May 28 followed by a Memorial Service at Fulton Stone United Church at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation or Fulton Stone United Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
