MACDONALD, Murray - Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Clarion Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 27, 2007, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Grace (White) of 58 years. Dear father of Norman (Gail), Gordon, Margaret (Rob Pearson), Gary (Barbara), Mona (John Mathes) and Bob. Lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother of Lois, Ross, Doug (Audrey), Olive, Bruce (Miriam) and predeceased by his brothers Glen and John. Murray was an active member of the Stoney Creek United Church, member of T.H. Simpson Lodge #692 A.F. and A.M., involved in Stoney Creek Little League Baseball for over 40 years, retired employee of Westinghouse after 44 years of service, Lifetime member of Stoney Creek Optimist Club, recipient of Stoney Creek, 1977 Citizen Of The Year Award and also a recipient of two honorary medals for his volunteer work. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 7-9 and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Murray's Funeral Service will take place at Stoney Creek United Church (corner of King St. and Lake Ave.) on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Stoney Creek United Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Bob Kemp Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
