Obituary of Marlene MacDonald

MacDONALD, Marlene June 13, 1942-May 11, 2011 Passed away quietly at home after a lengthy battle with cancer with her family by her side on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in her 69th year. Beloved wife of Donald for 50 years. Survived by her son Gary, grandchildren Tyler and Julie. Sister of Margaret (Ronnie) Pitts and Mildred & Doug Stevenson. Beloved Aunt to her nieces and nephew. Born in Salt Springs, Pictou County, Nova Scotia to the late George and Elizabeth Colquhoun. Former employee of Canadian Tire, Queenston Road and Buck or Two. Cremation has taken place. Special thanks to Dr. Hirtie and staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and sincere thanks to all V.O.N. and special care nurses. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, May 17th from 10 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. In Marlene’s memory, donations to the Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
