I was very sad to hear of Auntie Midge's passing. She may not have been my Aunt by blood or even by marriage by she was my Aunt just the same as when you call someone sister or brother because they mean the world to you. She always had a kind word to say about everyone. I will always hold close to my heart all the wonderful conservations we had over coffee or tea at her place or mine when I still lived down the hall from her. I will always remember the day when I had Emily sitting on the couch at her place and Gizmo sat beside on her and started to watch the t.v. with her. Whenever I think of Aunt Midge it will always bring a smile to my face. Whenever I hear the song "Run Around Sue" I will always the Day I met Autie Midge and Uncle Bruno. I'm just Glad they are together again...

My heart goes out to you for the loss of Midge . She was a wonderful & warm person. May you take comfort in all the memories you had with Midge & let them put a smile on your face & warm your heart. She is with Bruno & I am sure , very happy to be reunited with her partner. Now, both Midge & Bruno will watch over you & share in your life with everlasting love. From: Hi Everyone, I was very sorry to get the message about Mildred. She was a great cousin and I am very sorry that we rather lost contact over the years except for at Christmas. I last talked to her at Christmas. Growing up I always enjoyed her visits to Dorion, in the summer at Dorion Bible Camp together and in the winter when we could slide on the hill by our house. I know that everyone will have fond memories of her and may these memories help you through the next difficult days. She will be missed everyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Remembering with love, Harold and Barb(Keatley) Thompson

It is with a heavy heart that I send my sincere sympathies to all of you.
I last visited Mildred about 15 years ago, she never changed - always happy and smiling, we had a wonderful time together.
As kids we loved Mildred's many visits to Dorion, she was always so much fun to be with.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers now and in the days ahead.
Sending warm hugs to each one.

Both my wife Carol and I will miss Midge's smile and warmth. I remember when I was encouraging the church to paint the front door of the church that badly needed attention before the Quilts Of Valour church service honouring injured Canadian soldiers. In church Midge slinked up to me and said: "Operation Red Door is a GO!" That will always be my favourite Midge moment...

The first day i met Midge with my dad Bruno i instantly liked her. She treated me with kindness and love as she would her own children. We hit if off and in turn i grew to love her even more as they years passed. It is hard to believe she is gone. Something tells me she is up there with dad and her loved ones looking down at us all. Even though i will miss her i know that someday i will see her again.
