Obituary of Victoria Lyle

LYLE, Victoria Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at St. Peter’s Hospital on Thursday, February 24, 2011 in her 43rd year. Beloved wife and best friend of Robert. Will be greatly missed by her loving son Aidan. Cherished daughter of Mel and Gillian Crossfield and sister of Rob and his wife Rae-Anne Crossfield, devoted aunt of Ashton. Will be missed by Uncle John and Auntie Judith of England. Dear daughter-in-law of Charlie and Lynda Lyle. Will be missed by many other family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Hamilton Health Sciences for their care and support over the past few months. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, February 28, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a private family Memorial Service on Tuesday. The family invite friends to join them at a Celebration of Vickie’s life at the Queens Head Public House, 400 Brant Street, Burlington (corner of Brant and Elgin St.) on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Donations, In lieu of flowers, would be acceptable to St. Peter’s Hospital for Palliative Care, accepted at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home. “Her laughter, smile and sense of humour will be missed by everyone”.
