Obituary of Margaret Victoria Leishman

LEISHMAN, Margaret Victoria (Plater) At St. Joseph’s Hospital on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 in her 86th year. Beloved mother of Carol (Tom) Calder and Ron (Sue). Predeceased by her son Glenn. Dear sister of Peter (Jessie) Plater and Lois. Predeceased by her sisters Phoebe and Janet. Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Marg was a devoted foster mother for 24 years, a remarkable woman with a great sense of humour and a member of Cheyne Presbyterian Church known as the “Soup Lady.” Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, January 31 at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow.
