Obituary of Verna Irene Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Verna Irene Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, October 28, 2011, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late William James Lawrence. Loving mother of Susan and John Chmiel, Bill and Marg Lawrence, Bonnie Lawrence, and son-in-law John Murphy. Predeceased by her son Dick Lawrence and daughter Audrey Murphy. Dear grandma of 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Verna will also be sadly missed by her brother Rob and Marjorie Cox as well brothers and sisters-in-law in the Lawrence family and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to neighbours Mike and Terry for the countless ways you have helped our family. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 31st at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
