Obituary of Bruce Arthur Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Bruce Arthur Passed away peacefully at his home in Hamilton, on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, in his 67th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Wendy for 35 years. Loving father of Lori and Greg Wayland and Scott and Franca Dartnall. Dearly loved grandfather of Tyler, Brandon, Spencer, Phoenix and Lauren. Beloved brother of Bob and Bonnie and Douglas and Susan. Will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews along with his beloved four legged friend Oscar. Bruce was a Lt. In the Royal Canadian Navy and a Member of the Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders. He was also a cherished member of his poker club for 34 years and will be missed by buddies Brian, Douglas, Al, Ross and George. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to; Dr. Allister Ingram and the staff of the Dialysis Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Also, special thanks to the wonderful staff of the transplant unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care of Bruce and compassion toward Wendy. To Dr. Darren Treleaven, Joanne and Cindy and staff, to Ruby, to Dr. David Yanover, and to Dan and Dr. Grad and the Prosthetic Team at Chedoke Hospital, we deeply appreciate all of your care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, July 26th at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Transplant Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital or the Kidney Foundation, would be appreciated by the family and please consider signing your organ donor card.
