Obituary of Murray Cecil Laidman

LAIDMAN, Murray Cecil Passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on Sunday, March 27, 2011 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Shirley for 62 years. Cherished father of Marlene and her husband Michael Pastor. Devoted grandfather of Christopher. Will also be sadly missed by Dianne (Jeremy) and Patrick who were lovingly known as his grandchildren. Dear brother of Verna Connell and her husband Bruce. Predeceased by his brother Victor and sister Luella. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Murray was a dedicated employee of Elwood Laidman Plumbing and Heating for 40 years. He was affectionately known as the “Plumber with the Pipe”. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre for all of their compassion and care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March, 30, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Juravinski Cancer Centre or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
