LACHANCE, Pierre - After a lengthy illness and with his loving family by his side, it is with deepest regret the family of Pierre announces his passing on October 27, 2007. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, July 9, 1947. He will be deeply and sadly missed by his loving wife of 37 years, Louise Lachance (nee Demers). Children Marc Lachance (Mi Jin) of Hamilton and Sylvie Woods (Dave) of Ottawa. Grandchildren Brennen, Rueben, Hannah, Bradly and Carly. Son of the late Roger Lachance, survived by his mother Noella Lachance and brother Andre, Don of Ottawa. He will be sadly missed by extended family and many friends. A special thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses of the 4th floor CTU at St. Joseph's Hospital for all the love and care they gave him. He was involved with Hamilton Minor Hockey Association for over 29 years. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, 304 Highway 8, Stoney Creek on November 2nd at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Cancer Society.
