Obituary of Anton Konowal

KONOWAL, Anton “Tony” (Anthony) Peacefully, passed away at home on November 6, 2012 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Anne for 61 years. Dear father of Gary, whose wife is Lydia, and Wayne whose wife is Jennifer. Special Papa to Elyse and Kayla. Predeceased by daughter Susann; stillborn. Dear brother of George (Leona) of Brandon, Manitoba and Marleen Zorn. Predeceased by his brothers Michael (Lillian), Joe and Ed (Doris). Survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Retired from Dofasco after 43 years. Tony enjoyed many years at his cottage in Burk’s Falls with his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, Elyse and Kayla who will miss him greatly. He will be missed by many extended family and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Szereszewski and staff as well as Dr. Stallwood for their excellent care. Following his wishes, a visitation will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Saturday November 10, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. There will be no Funeral Service. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
