Obituary of Marija Kolenc

KOLENC, Marija Peacefully at Orchard Terrace Care Centre, on Monday, January 17, 2011, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Mirko. Loving mother of Matija and his late wife Gloria of Simcoe, the late Marija, and the late Neza and her husband Alojz Mihelcic of Caistor Centre. Dear grandmother of Charlene and her husband Greg, Mark and his wife Deborah, Mihela, Mateja, Maja, Mirjam and great grandmother of Matthew, Andrew, Carter, Luke, Ashton and Abigail. Also survived by nieces and nephews in Slovenia. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Marija and her late husband were founding members of St. Gregory the Great Parish and Villa Slovenia. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown jFuneral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, January 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers on Thursday at 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gregory The Great Slovenian Church, 125 Centennial Parkway North, on Friday, January 21st at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
