Obituary of Frederick Kneebone

KNEEBONE, Frederick Quietly gone to be with his late wife, Dorothy at the Hamilton General Hospital with his family by his side on Friday, April 1, 2011 of Stoney Creek at the age of 87 years. Beloved father of Fred and his wife Betty. Loving grandfather of Rick and Lisa and great-grandfather of Jamie and Caitlin. Dear brother of Margaret Dick and her husband Dave. Brother-in-law of Muriel Kneebone. Predeceased by his father and mother Fred and Margaret and his brother Jim. Will be sadly missed by his dear friend Gord. Fred was a long time employee of Westinghouse Canada, served his country in the Royal Canadian Navy on the destroyer Chaudiere in WWII and a life member of St. Andrew's Lodge #593 AF and AM. Special thanks to Dr. Bradley at the Hamilton General Hospital for her compassionate care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, April 5 at 10:30 a.m. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
