Obituary of Mildred Ruth Kenney

KENNEY, Mildred Ruth With sadness, we announce the passing of our Mother at Macassa Lodge, on Monday, March 7, 2011, in her 87th year. Mom was born in Winona on November 15, 1924 to Arthur Nickason and Dora Jones. Predeceased by her husband Bill and son James. Will be missed by her children William (Paulette), Susan Mahar (Vernon), Colleen, Daniel (Eileen), Teddy, daughter-in-law Ann and her grandchildren Jimmy, Billy, Lynn, Kelly, Leah, Ian, Dane, Thomas, Christine and Curtis. Mom has left behind 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Beloved sister of Diane Laking and sister-in-law of Jo-Anne Nickason, Grace Kenney, Laurie Kenney and their families. Predeceased by her sisters Eva, Mary Louise and her brother Ed. Our gratitude to Phyllis Kakowski and the entire staff at Macassa Lodge for their care and support. Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 11th at 11 a.m. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
