Obituary of Howard A. Fraser

May 21, 1947 – April 22, 2024

After a brief illness, Howie passed away peacefully in Binbrook, Ontario, at the age of 76 with his partner Gail Rollins and family by his side.

Howie was an avid golfer and curler throughout his life and developed many close friends, whether at the golf course or at the curling club. After retiring from Thunder Bay Telephone, Howie really enjoyed wintering in Florida where he was able to golf and spend time with friends and family.

Howie is survived by his children Victor Laurin (Melina), Jeannette Laurin-Mirabelli (James) and Annette Edmonds, his grandchildren Crissy, Ryan, Rachelle (John) and Nicole, his great grandchildren Avery and Henry and his brother Allan (Irmeli). Howie was pre-deceased by his wife Sandra, parents Howard and Martha Fraser and daughter-in-law Danette Laurin.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in Thunder Bay pending future arrangements. Howie’s family would especially like to thank Gail for all her kindness, love and support of Howie.
