GILLESPIE (Colling, nee Dawdy), Marlene Louise

Peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital with her family by her side on Monday, December 11, 2017, in her 71st year. Beloved wife of the late Norman (Rick) Gillespie.  Loving mother of Kim Cino (Sam), Shawn Colling, and step-mother to Sara Carroll (Stephen).  Loving Nana of Erica, Rachel, Jacob and Sammy.  Dear sister of Gary (Gayle), Wayne (Marlene), Elva (Alfred).  Predeceased by her sister Patricia.  Survived by nieces and nephews Danny (Stacy), Tracey (Joey), Kaitlyn (Brent) and Colin.  Marlene was a retired employee of Turkstra Lumber.  Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11 a.m.  Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  In Marlene`s memory donations to the Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be sent at www.donaldvbrown.ca
