Obituary of Jean Markou

MARKOU, Jean 
Peacefully, passed away at Anson Place Care Centre in Hagersville, in her 91st year on July 29, 2017. Jean was the beloved wife of the late Spyros Markou. Adoring mother of Christine and her husband Mark Greening. Caring grandmother to Christa (David) and Mitchell. Loved sister-in-law to Maria (the late Kostas) Deliakis, and the late Katie and Yakovo Hovanian. Jean will be sadly missed by Dr. John Deliakis (Barbara), Dr. Amelia Deliakis, the late Zarina Hovanian, Milly Hovanian and her many other family and friends. A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Anson Place Care Centre in Hagersville for their wonderful care and compassion during Jean’s last year of life. Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Hamilton. She will live in our hearts forever as she leaves her legacy of love. "To know her was to love her”
