Obituary of Harold Blanchard

BLANCHARD, Harold 

May 18/1918-July 16/2017 in his 100th year. Harold was a life long resident of Stoney Creek. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Vi) Blanchard (nee Andrews) and father of David and Paul and grandfather of John and Michelle Blanchard, pre-deceased by his brother Jack.  Harold was a veteran of WWII, who had a long and successful career as a tender fruit grower in the Niagara Region. He was proud of his role in winning the Grape King award for the best vineyard in Niagara in 1958. Harold was an avid fisherman, hunter, curler and lawn bowler.  Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 12 noon until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  In Harold`s memory, donations to the Hearing Society or the CNIB  would be appreciated by the family.
