de JONGE, Bernard November 11, 1937-August 20, 2013 Peacefully at his home with his family by his side. Faithful husband of Grietje for 50 years. Devoted, dedicated and loyal father of Thomas (Lisa), Christina (Judd), Margaret, Richard (Heather) and Robert. Loving and generous grandpa of Laura, Melissa, Steven, Abigail, Colin, Anna, Benjamin, Landon (aka Piper), and Olivia. Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Paramount Drive Alliance Church, 1035 Paramount Dr., Stoney Creek, on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Tapleytown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
