Obituary of Maria Van Dyk (Hoogerbrugge)

Van Dyk, Maria (Riet) Peacefully, the Lord took home Maria (Riet) Van Dyk (nee Hoogerbrugge), at the Hamilton General Hospital on Sunday, June 8th, 2014 in her 94th year. Riet was the beloved wife of the late Adrianus (Art) for 65 years. Loving mother of Jack, Corinne and John Bosch, Jacoline and Donald Aasman and predeceased by her daughter Anneke (1994). Also survived by son-in-law William Zylstra (Diana). Cherished Oma of Michael (Rachel), David (Trisha), Robyn (Dave), Joshua, Justin (Sherrie), Jason (Nalini), Leah (Alex), Erin (Dan), Crystal (Rich), Laura, Daniel (Tracy), Jessica (John), Thomas (Shayna), Benjamin (Kim). Great Oma of Trenton, Carson, Julian, Aliya, Calvin, Eli, Winnie, Lily, Brock, Nash, Chase, Levi and Jonah. Friends will be received at Fruitland Christian Reformed Church, 805 Highway 8, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, June 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private interment service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens on Thursday, June 12th followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at Fruitland Christian Reformed Church, which all are welcome to attend. Riet leaves behind a legacy of faith, love and kindness, and will be dearly missed by those whom she touched.
