Obituary of Doris Ruth MacQueen

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Doris. Loving wife of Jerry for 49 years and devoted mother to Tracey and Ken Sullivan and Jason and Eva MacQueen. Grandma, “biggest fan” and “best buddy” to Spencer, Bryce, Lauren, Carter and Brett. Doris will be dearly missed by her brother, sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and all extended family and friends. Doris was Co-owner of “The Avenue” in Stoney Creek with her best friend Val Landry for over 37 years. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Doris’s Celebration of Life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens. Our thanks to all of those that loved and supported her along this journey and our extreme gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Bob Kemp Hospice.
