Obituary of Betty Meryl Bowyer

BOWYER, Betty Meryl (nee Fortman) April 27, 1925 – April 22, 2013 We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of the most loving and amazing Mom, Grandmother, Aunt and friend at the Juravinski Hospital on Monday April 22, 2013 just 5 days short of her 88th birthday. Meryl was the beloved wife of the late Allen Bowyer (1990) and loved mother of Darlene Bigras (Robert Ouelette) of Saskatchewan and the late David (1973). Loving Nan of Duane Marriott (Jo-Anne) and Jodi Johnson (Ken). Great Nana of Tracey (Mike), Melanie, Kristy, Kaylee, Megan, Joal and Jodi. Great Great Nana of Deekyn, Nathan, Lauren, Kloey and Jack. Survived by 2 sisters Jeannette Bozich (John) and Geraldine Hagan (Terry). Predeceased by her 3 sisters, Maude Penfold, Viola Evans, Daisy Andrew and brother Richard Fortman. Also loved by many nieces and nephews. Meryl was an active member at the Women’s Institute, Binbrook U.C.W., Binbrook and Mount Hope Seniors Euchre Clubs. Special thank you to Larry Marriott for being with Meryl in her final hours. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
