Obituary of Beverley (Bev) Frances Godwaldt

Passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday, February 25th at the age of 77 years. Bev is playing the piano, dancing and singing in front of her Saviour Jesus. Beloved wife of Edward for 52 years. Loving mother of Lorna. Cherished grandmother of Finn, Nate and Shae. She was predeceased by her brother William. Bev wanted to be a nurse from 4 years of age. She enjoyed many years working as a nurse and retired from Hagersville Hospital where she was in charge of Labour and Delivery and the Emergency Department. Special thanks to the Nurses and Staff of the 6th floor Step Down Unit as well as the 7th floor Stroke Unit Staff at the Hamilton General Hospital for their compassion and care.  Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Cremation to follow. A Celebration of Bev’s Life will be held at Cheyne Presbyterian Church, 7 King St. W., Stoney Creek on Saturday, March 11th from 2-4 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
