Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Hospice Niagara in St. Catharines, on September 19th, 2026, at the age of 88. Arlene Rose went to meet her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and to be reunited with the love of her life, Doug.

Predeceased by her sons Larry, Richard, Bobby, Jimmy, and Stanley.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter Angela (Joe), and her grandchildren Katie (Patrick), Grace (Brian), Chrissy, Chris (Tracy), Andrea (Kevin), Matt, Dougie, Willow (Wesley), and Christina, her step-grandchildren Sam (Ella), Emma (Devon), and Anna (Eli), as well as her many great grandchildren.

Arlene’s strong faith was central to her life. She began her walk with the Lord at a young age and carried that faith with her throughout her life. She believed deeply in giving back, supporting her community through her quiet charity and volunteering throughout her life. A gifted and accomplished needleworker, Arlene created beautiful quilts, needlepoint, cross-stitch, and embroidery pieces, with her award-winning quilts reflecting her exceptional talent and dedication.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Hospice Niagara for their amazing, compassionate, loving care, and the incredible support they gave to Arlene, her daughter Angela, and the whole family during their 4 month stay. They cared for us like we were their family.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Niagara would be greatly appreciated by the family.
