It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Doreen Stallard on September 3rd, in her 96th year. Doreen spent her final six months in the compassionate care of the staff at Queen’s Garden Long Term Care Residence.

Doreen is now reunited with her beloved husband, Hugh Stallard; her parents, John and Alice Allen; and her sister, Marion Allen.

She will be fondly remembered by her dear friends Karen Redding, Liz Lange, Luxie Rego, Ellie Donaldson and their families. Special thanks to her godson Bill Swing, his wife Jennifer and their family.

Doreen was devoted to serving her community and generously volunteered with the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON), the SPCA, the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice and numerous other organizations. She also dedicated many years to serving on the boards of her condominium and cottage.

Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to a visitation at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, ON, on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A private interment at Eastlawn Cemetery will be held at a later date.
