April Lynn Dawson Obituary

My heart was not ready to say goodbye, but your body was. I know you wanted to stay but your body said not today, it was time to go. It was time for no more suffering, no more pain its time to reunite with dad, I also believe he was calling you home he sure hated to be away from you for any amount of time and he said four and a half  years was long enough to be without the love of his life and he was waiting for you with wide open arms, even though we still need you here. You were the biggest supporter of raising my children especially when I became a single mother to 8-month-old baby girl twins (you were so excited to become a grandmother times two at once) and 5 months pregnant with my baby boy which you were in the room with me and cut his biblical cord it was a special moment. The reaction I will never forget when I told you while you were half asleep and instantly woke up that I was pregnant again, you were surprised but happy to be a grandmother again. You helped so much when Summer was born too early with the other kids. You were my best friend that I knew I could trust you always being there for me no matter what. Our home feels so empty without you. I know I will have so many things to tell you or ask for advice, and you are not here. I never thought we would lose you before I was done rising my kids. The only grandparent that has always been the biggest part of their lives been there from day one now your gone from sight but never ever from our hearts or memories. I keep going over and over in my head how are we, how am I going to move on as this is the biggest heartbreak I ever felt how am I going to do this life without you. We’ve been though so much together leaning on each to get through everyday the good and the bad. We would argue like normal families, and I would give you a hard time but forgive each other at the end of the day and were always there for each other when it counted the most. To the sweet woman who give me life, we had our ups and downs and made amazing memories, its unfair how our time was shorten we had plans that wasn’t fulfilled. yet Your heart was always in the right place, it was solid gold, like Lacey (great niece) said when I told her your heart was still good, but the rest of your organs weren’t, she said that’s sounds about right. Your eyes were baby blue I never told you how I loved those blue loving caring eyes. You are now one of the brightest stars in the sky that will look over all of us down here with dad. I feel like it’s a new world now without you next to me, in unfamiliar present without you here, looking for you any sign of you still being here with us. I miss you so much it feels like your too far away and I can’t reach you but when I think of you and the life, we shared as mother and daughter and the memories we had will always remain close to my heart and ill tressure them forever. Anyone knew you knew how much you loved your family. Your grandchildren were the light of your life. Alanna, Kaylea, Darius, Summer, Dante and Cory Micheal even though she hadn’t seen you since you were small Cory she still thought about you and wish she could have seen you again but now she will look down on all of you. We might not have tomorrow now together but yesterdays will always be. A silent thought a secret tear will always keep a memory alive near our hearts forever. As I sit outside in your chair and the sun beating down on my face, I feel the warmth from your heart and your love floating around in the air surrounding me I know this isn’t the end. We will be together in dreams and places we go as you will be next to us, in the wind blowing past, in the cardinal that lands in the backyard, the smell of the lilacs every spring, every sunrise its you shiny light down on us, in every sunrise is you saying good night sweet dreams my family, in every milestones the kids reach, every butterfly that comes near I know its you saying hi I’m ok I’m not in pain anymore I’m flying free. I love you more than words could say an unconditional love from a daughter to her sweet loving mother that will never be forgotten.   R.I.P. to our beautiful mother and grandmother.

Wife of late Ronald, daughter of late Violet and Arthur. Beloved mother to Amanda (Geoff), Cory, Darren and grandmother to Austin, Alanna, Kaylea, Darius, Dante, Cory Micheal and Summer.
