In Loving Memory of Michael John Duffenais

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael John Duffenais, a beloved father, son, brother, partner, and friend.

Michael will be deeply missed by his daughters, Amanda and Michaela, as well as Richard and Danielle. His partner, Caren, who shared so much of life with him. He will also be remembered by his mother, Pauline, his father, Stanley, his brother Steven and his sister Tammy, along with his extended family and many friends whose lives he touched.

Michael had a natural talent for wood refinishing and took great pride in his work. He was genuinely good at what he did, with skill and attention to detail that always left him proud of his work.

He loved to cook, he had a way of making life more fun wherever he went. He was charismatic, funny, silly, and often the life of the party. Michael had a personality that was impossible to overlook and a way of making people laugh.

He was also known for being incredibly lucky, something that seemed to follow him through life and became part of the stories and memories shared by those who knew him.  Michael lived with a big personality and an even bigger presence. 

Though he is no longer with us, the memories of Michael—the laughter, the meals, the stories, the silliness, and all the moments shared—will live on.

He always held his faith close to his heart and tried to keep God beside him though everything life brought his way.  We find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, free from all the struggles of this life and safely in God’s hands.

May he finally have the peace he always deserved.  Rest peacefully.

He will be deeply loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
