After a valiant battle with cancer David is now “absent from the body and present with the Lord” 

David passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, friends and Pastors on Saturday, July 11, 2026. He will be deeply missed by his beloved and cherished wife Shelley (Colonna) Pauls; his children: David Pauls Jr.; Ryan Pauls; Scott (Meghan) Pauls and their mother Evelyn Windover; long time stepchildren; Andrew Chamney, Holly Chamney (Derek); his grandchildren Grace, Josephine, Jax, Charlotte, and his bonus grands, Maddox, Sophie and Christina. David will also be deeply missed by his many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Deep Gratitude and thanks to the Community Palliative Care Team, and of all the staff and volunteers at Stedman Community Hospice – who were our rock and a source of great comfort and support during this process.

Celebration of Life to be held at Victory International Church, 2799 Barton Street E., (West of Grays Road), Hamilton ON L8E 3L9 on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. 

The Interment Service Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 700 Chapel Hill Road, Stoney Creek, ON L8J 0B5 from 2:30-2:45 p.m. sharp – As an expression of sympathy, donations to Cancer Assist (Juravinski), Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford or Canadian Cancer Society are welcome and appreciated.
