Tom Wyatt passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on July 8, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on January 30, 1955, Tom lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, unwavering devotion to his family, and a wonderful sense of humor.

Tom is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Judy; his brother, Doug (Norma Jean); his children, Scott (Katrina), Kevin (Megan), Laura, and Matt; and by his treasured grandchildren, Aubrey, Hailey, Rex, Gracie, and Arley, who proudly knew him as "Papa Tom." He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Marjorie, and his brother, James.

After nearly 40 years at Dofasco, Tom enjoyed a well-earned retirement. Throughout his career and beyond, he was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to lend a helping hand.

A dedicated father, mentor, and coach, Tom was always there when his family needed him. Whether offering practical advice, cheering from the sidelines, or tackling a project, he gave his time and talents generously. A gifted handyman, he also shared those skills through volunteer work in his community, making a lasting difference wherever he could.

Tom loved being outdoors and embraced every opportunity to enjoy cycling, golfing, and skiing. Never short of an opinion, he could always be counted on for a lively conversation about sports or politics, often leaving everyone with something to think about—and usually a smile.

Above all else, Tom was happiest when surrounded by his family. As a proud husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend, his love, guidance, and example will continue to live on in the hearts and lives of all who knew him.

And because Tom would undoubtedly appreciate ending with a smile, his family would like to share one final thought. Anyone who shared a meal with Tom knew how fanatic he was about cleaning up. Katrina once told Tom “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” – Tom’s response? BINGO!!

Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
