Passed peacefully on June 30, 2026 at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, at the age of 63.

Beloved son of Thelma and his late father, Richard was a loving father to Rebecca (Stephen), and a cherished brother of the late Shannon and Bob, Dave and Cheryl.

He will be deeply missed by his furry grandchildren Thunder and Jon, who brought him comfort, joy, and companionship.

Richard will also be remembered by his nieces and nephews, and by many friends whose lives he touched along the way, especially Mike and Stacey, Trevor and Irene, Barb, Julie, and Claire.

Rich’s presence in the lives of those around him was felt through the relationships he built and the everyday moments he shared with family and friends. He will be remembered with love, laughter, and gratitude by all who knew him.

The family extends sincere thanks to the staff of the Juravinski Hospital for their care and compassion.

Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, July 8th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
