Passed away peacefully at Deerpark Villa in Grimsby on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Marija for 61 years. Devoted father of Anton (Gale), Bob (Eileen) and Andrew (Charlene). Cherished grandfather of Derek, Daynan (Carrie), Christopher, Sarah, Anthony, Ava and great-grandfather of Olivia, Brandon and Caia. Predeceased by his brothers Frank, Joe, Peter and brothers-in-law Frank Gimpelj and John Horvat and his wife Paula. Will be lovingly remembered by his sister Elizabeth and sister-in-law Elizabeth Gimpelj along with his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory The Great Slovenian Church, 125 Centennial Parkway N., Hamilton, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of The Angels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Deer Park Villa would be appreciated by the family.
