It is with heavy hearts and tears of sadness that we share the peaceful passing of Maryanne Elizabeth Wilson (nee Amberman) on Wednesday May 6, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Fredrick George Wilson. Loving mother of Fredrick James Wilson (Darlene) and predeceased by her daughter Nancy Lynn Verardo (Roy). Cherished grandmother to Taylor, Joshua, Victoria, Kendra, Caleb (Claudia) and great-granddaughter Hazel Mae. 

Will be sadly missed by her sisters and brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Maryanne loved her fur babies; Raz, Rain, Moss, Lily, Kayla and Manny. 

She will also be lovingly remembered by Frank and John Tarnawski for dinner trips to the Mandarin, watching sports or playing cornhole. Sunday mornings will not be the same with our specialty coffee, pies and sweets.

Mom loved gardening, her flowers and plants always looked so lovely and she would have neighbours stop by to admire them. She was happy and proud when the City of Hamilton honoured her with a Trillium Award.

Maryanne enjoyed singing karaoke and spending time at the Stoney Creek Legion listening to and singing along with her many friends and entertainers. 

A special thank you to ALL of the care providers that came into our lives and took exceptional care of mom; Ricki, Kaitlin, Neena, Lisa, Nicole and Tanner, Lisa and Esther. 

Mom, you have left us all with so many lovely memories that we will cherish forever. You will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts. Till we meet again, we all love you !

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private gathering at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date, where Maryanne will be laid to rest.
