Norma Lois Cobb (nee Nedal formerly Forrest) Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norma Cobb of Stoney Creek, Ontario, on May 8, 2026, in her 92nd year. Norma lived a long and beautiful life filled with love, laughter, family, and friendship.
Norma was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert “Russell” Cobb. She was a proud, loving, and caring mother to her two sons, Alexander “Sandy” Forrest (predeceased by his wife, Linda) and Daniel Forrest (Barbara).
She was a proud grandmother to Diana (Ed), Tammy (James), Alex (Lucy), Daniel (Erin), and Russell, and a cherished great-grandmother, lovingly known as Gram and Granny, to Ashton, Morgan, Eddie, Ethan, Zoey, Isaiah, Carter, Keira, Bronson, and Renzo. Norma recently learned that she would soon become a great-great-grandmother, and nothing brought her more happiness than watching her family grow through the generations.
Norma had a special love for her faithful dog, Buster, who brought her endless companionship and joy.
She treasured every camping season spent at Sunnibank Park, where her trailer became one of the greatest joys of her life for over 60 years. It was there that countless cherished memories were made with family and friends, and where she had the joy of watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow up through the generations. Norma loved sitting outside her trailer, chatting with everyone who stopped by, always making time for a conversation, a laugh, or to check in on someone. The trailer park community meant so much to her, especially the bingo games and gatherings in the barn, where she loved seeing everyone come together. Norma touched many lives through her kindness, warmth, and caring nature. She also enjoyed long phone conversations and relaxing while watching her favourite game shows and court shows.
She had a gift for making people laugh and always made sure everyone around her was doing okay. She constantly checked in on her loved ones, caring deeply about their happiness and health. She spoke proudly and often about her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, celebrating every milestone and accomplishment.
Anyone who knew Norma knew one thing for certain: she absolutely disliked the colour green. She refused to wear it, decorate with it, or have anything resembling it nearby, but she loved joking about it and made everyone laugh with her playful stubbornness over the years. It was one of the many little things that made her unforgettable.
She leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Norma is survived by her sister, Doris, and was predeceased by several cherished siblings.
Norma will be deeply missed by her family, extended family, friends, and all who had the pleasure and good fortune of knowing her. Her warmth, kindness, humour, love, strength, and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind. While our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in the incredible memories she created and the lasting impact she had on so many lives.
The family would like to sincerely thank everyone who has reached out with love, prayers, and condolences during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details regarding the date, time, and location will be shared once arrangements have been finalized.
