Spiro Vincic Obituary

With heavy hearts and profound love, we share the peaceful passing of our dear father Spiro Vincic on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in his 94th year, surrounded by those who loved him most. Reunited with his beloved daughter Nevenka “Nena” with open arms.

Dear husband to Milka for 62 years. Loving father of Branko (Mary), Vera, Dobrila (Peter), Steve/Misho (Nicole) and Dragan. Proud Grandfather to Aleksandar (Ariana), Nancy, Kristina and Adam. Great-grandfather to Adrian and Gabriel.

He is reunited in eternal peace with his loving parents, Boja and Milan. Dear brother of Mirjana (the late Simo) and Branko (Bosa). Predeceased by Stevan, Dusan and Soka.

Spiro will be missed by many nieces and nephews, family, kumovi, friends near and far, and special friend Joe Costa who was like a son.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the entire Erland Lee care team at Ridgeview. Immeasurable gratitude to Dr. Chan, Borka, Jill, Rodalyn, Savanah Charanjit, Catherine and Brother A. Your gentle kindness will never be forgotten.

A special thank you to family physician Dr. Ross Allega who was a champion for Spiro.

Deeply missed by “MY MACA” Mara (cat). She was a steadfast companion to him and gave unconditional love and attention.

Spiro’s greatest pride and joy was his fruit farm. His farm was a destination point for so many and he was so proud of the fruits of his labour. He was the first to lend a hand to those who needed it. The Serbian community was the anchor of his identity. He was a founding member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church and member of the Movement of Serbian Chetniks Ravne Gore.

Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Pomen 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 153 Nash Rd. S., Hamilton, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11 a.m. with The Very Reverend Father Dragomir Ninkovic officiating. Interment to follow.
