It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Matilda Pancucci on April 21, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Healthcare.

Matilda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Guy; her son, Gary; and her parents, Carmelo and Rosina. She leaves behind her loving family: her son Mark and daughter-in-law Marina; her cherished grandchildren, Victoria, Meghan, and Matthew; her dear sister Lina; and her niece and nephew, Julie (Sharon) and Danny (Kathy).

Matilda was a devoted mother and nonna who gave everything she could to her family. She was happiest when everyone was together, and her love and dedication to her family were at the center of her life. She found joy in cooking for those she loved, tending to her houseplants, and reading her favorite novels. She was also an avid watcher of CNN—even when it left her frustrated. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering care for others will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mallah and the Palliative Care team at St. Joseph’s Healthcare for their kindness and compassion.

A private family service will be held. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Donald V. Brown Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA or the Patient Comfort Fund at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation.
