Susan Lesley Wallwork Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Wallwork on the morning of April 7th, 2026. Sue passed away peacefully after days of being surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Susan was born in Manchester, England to Joyce and Leslie Wallwork, and later became a proud big sister to Martin. In 1957, the family immigrated by boat to Stoney Creek, Ontario – a place she called home for the majority of her life, and where she met her partner, Sol, in 1970 where they danced the night away.

Sue was a sweet, kind, and generous soul. She showed love by never forgetting a birthday, keeping in touch with loved ones, and sharing simple pleasures like a cup of tea and laughter. Sue’s love was boundless – a love felt by her nieces and nephews, and across continents to family and friends.

Susan is lovingly remembered by her partner, Sol Breau, niece and nephew, Carly and Christopher Wallwork, the Breau family, and many friends and relatives in Canada and the UK. She joins the beloved family that passed before her, Joyce and Leslie Wallwork, Nancy and Marty Wallwork.

Visitation will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, on Friday, April 17th from 10-11 a.m., with the Memorial Service starting at 11 a.m.

Sue loved flowers and generosity – as an expression of sympathy, please consider flowers or making a donation to a charity of your choice. For those unable to attend, please enjoy one of Sue’s favourites – a tune from The Beatles, a Swiss Chalet special, or a classic fish and chips.

Online condolences and notes of sympathy may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
