Charles "Chuck" Herbert Keenan Obituary
Charles "Chuck" Keenan passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on April 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Chuck devoted an extraordinary 44 years, 6 months, and 2 weeks to the City of Hamilton Forestry Department, where he built a long and respected career, something he was happy to share with anyone willing to listen. Known for his strong work ethic and friendly nature, Chuck seemed to know someone everywhere he went. He took great pride in his work and especially cherished showing his grandchildren around his office. Beyond his work, Chuck had a deep love of hockey and proudly officiated as a referee in the OHL, earning the respect of players, coaches and fellow officials.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Pam of 58 years, and his children Brian (Melanie) and Wade. Proud grandfather to Brian Jr. (Carter), Kristina, Miranda, Sheldon (Kandice), Jade (Nathan), Wade Jr (Taylor). Cherished great-grandfather to Chace and Noelle, who held a special place in his heart. Chuck is also survived by his siblings Sharon, Robert (Laurie) and Ronald (Marilyn), and will be fondly remembered by many extended family and friends.
He is preceded by his parents Charles Keenan Sr and Elizabeth (Betty) Keenan
He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love and lifelong connections.
