It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Irene Boden-Hewins who passed peacefully on March 20, 2026 at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby, Ontario in her 98th year.

Born on August 19,1928 Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Richard Boden and the late Ralph Hewins. She lived a long and meaningful life, devoted to her family and remembered for her kindness, strength and caring nature.

Dorothy was a loving mother to Susan Haig (Robert) of Walkerton, Debbie Lampman (Danny) of Caistor Centre, Carol Krajcir (late Dezi) of Madawaska, and Rick Boden (Lisa) of London. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Kimberly (Trevor), Bradley, Scott (Kelly), David (Christina), Kelly, Michelle, Dezi (Amanda), Brett and Chase.  Great-Grandmother to Carson (Grace), Avery, Myra, Olivia, Jordon, Massin, Solomon, Sophia, Amelia, Dezi Jr. and Renee.

Dorothy is survived by her sisters Erma Lounsbury and Joyce Rose and brothers Raymond Davis and Ross Davis. Predeceased by Rita, Roy, Nettie, Betty, Harry, Harold and Bernice.

Dorothy’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She will be fondly remembered for the love and warmth she shared with all that knew her. She was also happiest at home with a paint brush and roller in hand, wallpapering, quilting and her true love of baking. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.

Cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Deer Park Villa and West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care.

Dorothy will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
