Waiting for him in heaven is his eldest son, Martin Jr.
Predeceased by his parents, Anton and Marija Malevič (nee Matkovič). Predeceased by his siblings, Anton and Ani Malevich, Martina Malevič, John Malevich (Betty), Stanko and Fanika Malevich, and Vida Scherz (Anton). He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews in Canada, Slovenia, Australia, Germany and Brazil. To his family he was simply Ate, a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and proud Slovenian-Canadian whose kindness, wisdom, and strength touched all who knew him. He was a faithful member of St. Gregory the Great Slovenian Church in Hamilton.
Visitation will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home in Stoney Creek on Tuesday, March 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with Prayers at 2:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Slovenian Church in Hamilton on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
