Obituary of Gunter 'George' Trimborn

The family of Gunter (George) Trimborn is sad to announce his passing on February 1, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born in Koln, Germany and came to Hamilton, Ontario, at the age of 19. He was a proud resident of the city of Hamilton for 65 years.

Whether he was tinkering in the garage with his tools and building a bird house or new flower bed box, George found joy in creating a beautiful landscape. He also was an avid gardener who loved to grow his own vegetables and share with family and neighbours. At every chance, you would often find him sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and the fruits of his labour. He was a great storyteller and loved a good punch line with a loud boisterous laugh which was infectious.

He is survived by his wife Beverley Trimborn. His children Geordi Francella (Luigi Francella) and Garfield Trimborn. His stepchildren Paul Massey (Valerie Massey), and Kirwan Massey. His grandchildren Gavin Massey, Jacob Francella, and Riley Francella.
