Obituary of Salvatore Ienco

Sadly we announce the passing of our dear father in the early morning of January 30th, 2026  surrounded by his children. Salvatore was born in Calabria Italy. He will be now be reunited with his beloved wife Elisabetta. Beloved father to Emma (Andy) , Frank, Raff, Lucy (Alan Ferrie). The sparkle in our fathers eye was being a nonno to John Pendola (Jen) , Olivia, Cristian and bisnonno to Michael and Lucas. Cherished son of Francesco and Cecilia Ienco. Predeceased by his beloved brothers  Antonio, Raffaele, Bruno, Giuseppe. Will be missed by Giovanni  (Lucia) Rosina (Antonio), Vittorio (Lucia) and Raffeluzza (Bruno deceased)

Salvatore was loved by many friends and relatives in Canada, Italy and Germany. By our mother’s side, our father came to Canada to build a better life for their family. One of their favourite pastimes was to sit on the porch and enjoy the view of all that they accomplished. Salvatore  (Sam) enjoyed his game shows,  the occasional soap opera and the occasional "bicchiere di vino”. Many thanks to Dr. Michael Savatteri, Lisa Lampman (PSW) for her exceptional care and to all the hard working Doctors and nurses at the Hamilton General Hospital.

Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Tuesday, February 3 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Mausoleum, Stoney Creek.
