Wilf was a truly lovely man.
He was a wonderful neighbour. Always around with a helpful hand or tool he knew would make whatever the task easier. He was a such and kind and friendly person. He always asking or complimenting me on my slow but steady work on our garden, or have a chat with Chris about the latest project on the go, or the latest addition to our garage.
I will miss having Wilf as our neighbour very much. The whole neighbourhood will miss him.
My deepest condolences to his daughters, grandchildren, and to the whole family.

I have so many memories of Wilf – I met him when he and Pat were taking down a tree on their front yard. Wilf had the chainsaw and Pat was holding the rope. They would have been in their late 70’s.
I grabbed the rope to help. A few weeks later as I was digging up stumps in my front yard, Wilf walks over with his pickaxe.
Wilf was the first outside with the snowblower
every snowfall. If I wasn’t home he phoned me to tell me he would get to it – so I was always out there trying to get it done before he could because he did Freds and others drives as well. When it was too deep I was
happy to leave it to him. When I lost my dads wedding ring, and was certain it had gone down the tub drain, Wilf was helping me tear it all apart looking for it.
One summer I go out my door, and here is Wilf – in his early 80’s – standing in the space upstairs of Fred’s place – the VERY large window was out – and Wilf, only Wilf, is hauling the new LARGE window up with a rope
and a gear. He had one helper guiding the window. Needless to say I yelled for Dan and we went across to help as we could.
I have so many “Wilf” stories.
Wilf had a way of making people feel special to him. He listened when you spoke. He remembered what you said. He always said the meals I took over where the best ever. I know I am not a great cook, but it
was the only help Wilf would accept back. He gave so much more then what he accepted and he will always have a place in my heart.
Condolences and prayers for Christine and Heather and the rest of Wilf's family.

My grandparents Fred and Carolyn were incredibly lucky to have a man like Wilf as their neighbour. He always looked out for them, assisted with home repairs and was a loyal friend. When my daughter was born in 2019 Wilf always made a point to come see her when we were visiting my grandparents. He bought her little treats and stuffed animals and you could tell how smitten he was with her. An all around wonderful man who will be missed. Rest in peace Wilf.

Heather, Chrissy, Zachary and family: I am so sorry for your loss. I don't have to tell you what a good man your Dad was and that he will be missed by all who new him. To say he was a great friend and the most helpful caring neighbor to my parents and myself and family for almost 60 years would be an understatement. He truly was one of a kind. Adrienne Briggs

So sorry for your loss! I grew up two doors down from Wilf's parents, Stewart and Ester. They were like the neighborhood grandparents - still think of them often. A lovely family all around. Wills will be greatly missed!
