Obituary of Linda Ann Whitfield

Passed away surrounded by her family on January 17, 2026 at the Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 69. Beloved wife of David for 20 years. Loving mother of Natasha (Jamie) and proud Grandmother of Hunter and Jackson. Stepmother to Eric (Miranda) and Greg (Laura) and Step-grandmother to Liara, Phillip, and Henry. Dear Sister of Susan (Wayne) and Jayne. Aunt of Brandon, Andrea, and Ashton (Torie) and Great Aunt of Ivey.

Linda embraced life with passion and enthusiasm. She was a dedicated martial artist, a talented visual artist, and a lifelong Ticat fan. Linda built deep friendships everywhere she went, especially at the gym and through her work, where she was well known and respected in the flooring industry, a job she truly loved. An avid lover of animals and of life itself, Linda’s big personality filled every room. She will be remembered for her huge, infectious laugh, sharp sense of humour, and the joy she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, January 22 from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 23 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
