Obituary of Mary Burford (Vidulak)

Born April 13, 1942, passed away peacefully with her husband Dennis at her side, on January 10, 2026. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Dennis Burford. Dear sister of Annie McHaig and will be missed by her nieces and nephews Allison, Jeremy (Shannon), Charles, and Joanne. Mary was predeceased by her parents Eva and John, and by her niece Andrea.

Mary had a long and proud career at Stelco head office in Hamilton and then later at St. Joseph’s Urgent Care in Stoney Creek. She was known for her strong spirit and love for her friends and family. Mary also enjoyed travelling the world and had many memorable adventures with Dennis from Myrtle Beach to Africa and everything in between.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to PSW Edisa for her dedicated and compassionate care of Mary in her final years, as well as friends Dave and Isabel for all of their help and support.
