Obituary of Lois Irene Elms

A beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, in Guelph, Ontario. Born on November 14, 1941, Lois devoted her life to teaching and to creating a warm, loving home for her husband, Ken, and their two children. She was a nurturing presence, known for her kindness, dedication, and quiet strength, and she took great joy in her family. Lois is lovingly remembered by her children, Shari (Mark) and Shawna; her cherished grandchildren, Sienna (19), Ethan (17), and Liam (12); her sister-in-law, Audrey; her nieces, Patty, Lara, Licie, and Kelly; and her nephew, Mike. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and soulmate, Ken, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph, Ontario, for their compassionate care and support.

Visitation will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m.  Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
